I’m Going Crazy; Deep Breath

Lets take back control over what is ours. Mental Stability!

Breathe in.

Breathe out.

Do it over and over.

Today we will be going into some of the things I’ve discovered really helped me along the way. Depression is a hard monster to over come. It takes several outlets to discover the core of the issue. So I’m going to introduce you all to a few things that were helpful and eye opening to me. I haven’t done this alone, I have used self help books, you tube channels and Instagram Success stories. Not to compare myself but to see where I am falling short when it comes to taking care of myself.

I’ve noticed the more I focus on creating a better life for others I get further away from the life I want for myself! So leaving all the Monsters from the last post in the past and showing my future that I’m the bitch running the show!

When you’re out and about here is a brief exercise to focus in on when a panic or anxiety attack starts up. When I’m in public I am legitimately fearful to draw attention to myself so here are a few things that allow me to refocus and bring myself back to peace.

Find 5 things you can see. 4 things you can touch, 3 things you can smell, 2 things you can hear, 1 thing you can taste.

Sit in the sun and soak up the rays, sit on a hill and let the wind carry your worries away. Read a book; a good one for the ladies I recommend is “Girl Code” by Cara Allwill Leyba https://amzn.to/2HppXW8 <<<<<here is where you can find it! Its very grounding, helps you focus on your sanity, success, and sexiness. Bringing back the S in your life. Another good one my man has just finished reading is “The Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck!” by Mark Manson https://amzn.to/2ZlmD9C <<<<<HERE! also on amazon. I personally prefer a paperback I love the smell! However, both will get the point across. There are things in this world worth stressing about and people who we let bother us when we shouldn’t. Focusing on yourself and what makes you happy instead of trying to please those around you will make a huge difference in your mental health!

Another thing I really started to incorporate in my daily life was setting boundaries. Every relationship I have requires them. I have toxic friends. I love them, I want the best for them, but right now my mental state isn’t where it should be, so maybe its best to grow without them. I need to find where I am going before I am going to be of any help to anyone else. Which is true about everything. Remember if you aren’t feeling your best, you’re not going to get the best results. You get what you put into yourself.

In the words of one of my favorite YouTube sensations Aileen Xu: “Energy flows where attention goes!” I mentioned her in a previous post so if you haven’t checked her out yet you need to! She did a whole series on designing your own life and taking it back into your own hands. Another thing she introduced to me was Journaling and daily vitamins. I’ve really come to depend on my daily vitamins. I like to go to Vitamin Shoppe and I’ve found they adjust the best with my body. A lot of the ones I’ve gotten from Walmart and Walgreens mess with my tummy and cause headaches. This is a basic Women’s Daily Multivitamin! https://www.vitaminshoppe.com/p/one-daily-women-multivitamin-60-tablets/vs-3117 <<<<

If you try these let me know what you think! I’d love to hear back from you guys! They make my pee bright yellow, but the energy it gives me is unreal. It took my chronic fatigue and it really boosted me during the day when I wasn’t eating my best! Another sacrifice (sadly) I continue to endure is I’ve significantly laid off of the coffee and replaced it with tea! Bigelow is probably my favorite brand. The Peach and Ginger being my favorite, then the Blood orange and passion fruit!

Also another thing I have noticed that made a difference in my energy levels was working out! I don’t get to as much as I would like. My work schedule is incredibly vicious and I am at work 14 hours out of the 24 hour day, leaving me 8 to sleep and 4 hours to split between the AM and PM. 2 hours to get out the door in the morning and 2 hours in the evening to eat, settle the babies, shower and get into bed myself. So finding 30 minutes to show up for myself is hard but EVERY single Saturday morning without fail the boo and me spend a hour at the gym! Its not up for debate. Yea, I know, Only once a week? How is that doing anything, but read this next bit seriously “SHOWING UP AND DOING SOMETHING IS BETTER THAN NOTHING AT ALL!”

So in short a few bullets on focusing on YOUUU!

  • Unplug from your phone, take a few hours a week to put it down.

  • Read something that resonates with your soul.

  • Meditate, taking in the Sun and wind, and rain!

  • Get Moving, you don’t have to run a mile, just get the fuck up!

  • Remember to re-center. Find your 5’s

  • Self care, Vitamins, baths, a brief walk.

  • Boundaries. (if people don’t respect your boundaries…THEY ARENT YOUR PEOPLE)

This is very important….If someone in your life isn’t respecting your peace and wanting you to find serenity within your own lifestyle; its time to let that person go. The people you surround yourself with is a reflection on you. If you’re surrounded by miserable people constantly wondering why life is beating them down “oh why me” ,but not fixing the issues in their own life or making the moves to love their life….they need to be let go.

Honestly, that is my most important piece of advice. I’ve let go of life long friends. I’ve let go of family. My own father being one. Sacrifice is necessary when you are doing what is best for you. That’s the hardest part, but someone who doesn’t want the best for you needs to move on. Boyfriends, FiancĂ©s, best friends, parents, siblings, whatever. Let me remind you: I broke off a whole wedding to be the best me for myself and daughter and I’m the happiest I’ve ever been!

I hope this short series has helped you all a little. Please let me know what you think! I love getting your feed back!

Till next time cool Cats! XOXOX
